DAT is Design Aptitude Test that is held specially to determine the design abilities of the aspirants. The exam serves as an entry pass to go into the field of design sector, which is considered among the most flourishing sectors.
NID DAT is a mandate test for those students who wish to take admission to first year of under graduate (GDPD) and post graduate programme (PGDPD).
NID DAT Syllabus
NID DAT exam doesn’t have any set syllabus. Question will be asked on basics topics such as:
- Communication Skills
- Composition
- Creativity
- Drawing Skills
- General Mental Ability
- Sensitivity to Environment and
- Subjects of Design.
Paper Pattern
NID DAT comprises of three papers, each of 60 marks. The exam tests the students’ capabilities in creativity and various domains that include:
- Visual Design
- Subjects of Design
- Thematic Color Arrangement
- Environment Sensitivity
- Memory Drawing
- Proportions & Perspective
- General Mental Ability
- Drawing Skills
- Animation and Abstract Symbolism.
NID DAT Preparation
The institute has limited number of seats for under graduate and post graduate programmes thus only those candidates who will score highest marks will be considered for the next round of selection.
Fees: For every 30 sessions (60 hours) - Rs.15,000/- + Registration Fee Rs.750 plus Service Tax as applicable.
